We all have different reasons to lose weight. For some of us it is medical reasons and for others it is to look good. I think that no matter what the reason is, we are all entitled to get the best diets there is.
In the last few years there have been several so called fad diets. Atkins is one of them and GI is another. They have one thing in common, they are hard to follow and they are not for everybody. If you look at forums and scientific reviews you understand that there are two sides of every story.
Recently a group introduced the calorie shifting diet. It is a variation of a diet used by bodybuilders, but it is adjusted for us normal folks. This diet has been around for about two years and although I’m a frequent reader/poster in several of the major weight loss forums online, I haven’t heard much negative with this diet. Of course there is the common ‘You said I’ll lose 9 pounds but I only lost 6’, but over all everybody seems to lose weight with this fast weight loss diet.
The calorie shifting diet has many benefits if you compare it with other non-diets (non-fat,non-carb etc). You get to eat the food you like. You get an online menu calculator, you tell it what you’d like to eat the next 11 days and by a press on a button it generates a complete menu from the foods you like. If you don’t like some foods or are allergic, you tell the program this too.
During the diet you eat a lot. I usually skipped breakfast or lunch before I started on this diet. Today I actually eat more food than I did before and I’m still losing weight! Why is that?
Well, the calorie shifting diet takes a new approach as it targets your metabolism. If you eat a certain kind of calorie at a certain time your body adjusts to this but then you give it a surprise by shifting into another type of calorie.
This will confuse your metabolism and it will go crazy and burn fat like a madman.
